Mrs Macleod & P5/6

P5/6 have been studying World War 1 this term, learning about the Great War and its impact on the world and Isle of Lewis, in particular. We led the school Armistice Assembly on 11/11; planning, researching and presenting the information we thought important and interesting for our friends in other classes to know.

We then visited the Garrabost War Memorial to lay a wreath, on behalf of the school. WW1 was brought to life for us during a visit by Sgt. Stewart from the Army Reserve Unit in early December as he visited the class, bringing in lots of stories, photographs, medals and a couple of weapons!
